Concrete Driveways

Concrete Driveway Installation & Replacement in Charlotte, NC

New driveways, extensions, and full tear-out replacements poured thick enough for real trucks.

Your driveway takes more abuse than any other slab on your property: vehicle weight, Carolina summer heat, freeze-thaw nights and the red clay underneath that swells when it rains. We build driveways for those conditions from the ground up.

What's included

  • Tear-out and haul-off of old asphalt, gravel or cracked concrete
  • Compacted stone base sized to your soil
  • 4" standard or 5-6" heavy-duty pours for trucks, RVs and trailers
  • Rebar or wire mesh reinforcement
  • Saw-cut control joints placed to manage cracking
  • Broom, exposed aggregate or stamped finishes
  • Driveway aprons, extensions and parking pads

Our concrete driveways process

  1. Free on-site estimate

We measure, check drainage and grade, and give you a written price.

  2. Excavation & base

We dig out to the right depth and compact a stone base so the slab doesn't settle.

  3. Forms & reinforcement

Forms are set to slope water away from your garage, then rebar or mesh goes in.

  4. Pour & finish

We pour, float and finish to the texture you picked, then cut control joints.

  5. Cure & clean-up

We clean the site. You can walk on it in a day and drive on it in about 7.

Concrete Driveways FAQ

How much does a concrete driveway cost?

Most residential driveways in our area land between $8 and $15 per square foot depending on tear-out, thickness, access and finish. We give exact, written pricing after a free on-site visit.

How long before I can drive on my new driveway?

Foot traffic after 24 hours, passenger cars after about 7 days, and heavy trucks after 28 days when concrete reaches full design strength.

How thick should a driveway be?

4 inches is standard for cars. We recommend 5-6 inches with rebar for pickups, RVs, boats or work trucks.

Will my driveway crack?

All concrete can develop hairline cracks. Proper base compaction, reinforcement and well-placed control joints keep cracks small and where we want them.
